Howdy Aggies,

My name is Troy Cavazos, and I have the honor of serving as President of the Interfraternity Council for the 2023-2024 scholastic year. Thank you for visiting our website, and supporting Texas A&M Greek Life!

The Interfraternity Council is the governing council of 18 fraternity chapters with a collective membership of almost 1800 Aggies, making us one of the largest and most diverse communities on campus at Texas A&M University. We have seen tremendous growth over the last few years since joining the Southeastern Conference (SEC), enabling us to expand our impact on campus and better emphasize the benefits of Interfraternity Council membership. Our quality of membership has been the only thing to outgrow our increase in numbers. The IFC-wide grade point average is consistently above the all University average. IFC members are enrolled in every available major at A&M and receive among the most selective internships and job opportunities before, and after, graduation. Fraternity men at Texas A&M have been serving as our university’s top student leaders such as the 2023-2024 Student Body President and Junior Class President,  the 12th Man, Student Senators, The Big Event staff, Aggies on Wall Street students, and many other student organizations. Our community is deeply invested in philanthropy locally and nationally. Every year thousands of dollars are raised by each chapter for charity, and chapters complete hundreds of community service hours to better the local Bryan-College Station community. The skills gained from the fraternity experience have helped our members earn many leadership roles around campus, including within other student organizations, within their majors, and even within Student Government. In short, our members are academically successful, desirable candidates for post-graduate employment, and are dedicated to being active in their communities. Our organizations strive to exemplify the core values that have long characterized our internationally renowned University. Through our Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect, and Selfless Service which our members help to advance the reputation of this University we have the privilege of attending.

We invite you to explore this great opportunity and unique experience that being a member of one of our chapters provides. There is only one network closer than the Aggie Network: the Aggie Greek Network. If you are an incoming freshman, student, parent, or simply someone wanting to learn more about our organization please do not hesitate to contact me at the email address provided below. The Texas A&M Greek community only continues to grow, and we hope you will consider being a part of it.

Thanks & Gig ’Em,

Troy Cavazos ‘24
